TEXAS FARM BUREAU 83rd ANNUAL MEETING Outstanding Young Farmer & Rancher Marcus and Amy Halfmann have planted their roots deep in farming. Their passion, innovation and determination have earned them the title of the 2016 Texas Farm Bureau Outstanding Young Farmer & Rancher. J ANUARY 6 , 2017 Discussion Meet 12 Alisha Schwertner of Moore County won the 2016 Texas Farm Bureau Discussion Meet during the organization’s 83rd annual meeting. Schwertner is an independent agronomy and business consultant focusing on nutrient management research and farm succession planning. She’s also involved in the family farm operation located in Miles. Excellence in Agriculture On the farm, in the vet clinic or in the classroom, Scott and Sara Holloway of Bowie are dedicated to agriculture. They’re the winners of the 2016 Texas Farm Bureau Excellence in Agriculture Contest. The Holloways are pictured here with daughter, Charley Jane. Their son, Coleman, is not pictured.
